Everwinter Without Mercy
After a farewell party thrown by Columbina, the Traveler and Paimon finally cross into Snezhnaya — and the everwinter greets them without mercy. Separated from Paimon by a storm, the Traveler awakens an ancient device, the Eye of Graeae, and finds Paimon sheltered by none other than Pierro, Director of the Fatui, who departs with a promise to meet again. Paimon falls mysteriously ill, and the land itself is strained: under the Tsaritsa's "Project Stuzha," energy is rationed and villages freeze.
In Sretomorozsk, the hunter Alyosha helps expose corrupt officials hoarding heating crystals, then guides the Traveler toward the capital Snezhnograd — via a derailed train that plunges them briefly into the Shadow Realm, a void without wind or elements, where Graeae arms the Traveler anew. In the capital, the Traveler reunites with a paperwork-buried Childe, meets the ballerina Odette — once Signora's trainee — and learns the Tsaritsa has marched east with her Druzhna to slay the monster behind the snowstorms.
Resonating with Cryo at the Statue of The Seven, the Traveler is drawn deeper into Snezhnaya's undercurrents: Alyosha inducts them into Rokot, a secret society at odds with the Fatui, alongside the singer Vodyanitsa — while at the Korolevskiy Theater, an Armory Palace guard hunts a researcher named Mitya, and something is quietly wrong beneath the ice.
After this The Traveler enters Snezhnaya and meets Pierro while Paimon falls mysteriously ill, the Tsaritsa has marched east, and Alyosha inducts the Traveler into the anti-Fatui society Rokot.
